At Anand Bhawan Palace, dining is an royal experience where farm-fresh Awadhi flavours, Nepalese delicacies, and garden-brewed teas are savoured in grand dining halls, leafy courtyards, or beneath the stars.
Dining at Anand Bhawan Palace is a journey through heritage and flavour, where grandeur meets farm-fresh authenticity. The main royal dining hall once graced by an 18-seater table beneath Murano chandeliers still carries its stately aura, now centred around a restored 12-seater antique table, heirlooms, and a vintage bar. A second dining hall, more intimate with its 10-seater table, offers a refined yet contemporary setting.
Menus celebrate Awadhi and rustic village traditions, featuring regional treasures like baingan bharta, pit-roasted potatoes, desi murga, partridge, and chulha roti. Adding a rare Himalayan influence, Rani Bhavana Singh of Tirwa introduces her Nepalese heritage with dishes such as aloo ko achar, golbheda ko achar, and kudke khursani ko achar, weaving new layers into the palace’s culinary repertoire.
Anchored in a farm-to-table philosophy, meals are crafted from vegetables grown in the palace’s own farms, fish from local ponds, and locally sourced meats. Breakfast often unfolds in the gardens or on the terrace with sweeping palace views, while evenings transform into candlelit dinners or barbecue feasts beneath the stars. Guests are further treated to refreshing bel ka sharbat and floral teas of hibiscus and jasmine, freshly brewed from the palace gardens.
